Taipei Haiku #54

Some men buy sports cars.

Others build memorials

Proclaiming greatness.

There is a giant memorial complex dedicated to Chiang Kai-Shek in the heart of Taipei. I hear tell he even left instructions as to how many stairs would lead up to the memorial proper.

I think this is the only right and proper way to honor my life. As to location, I suggest build it on prime Vancouver real estate. It’s only what’s right and proper.
