Taipei Haiku #50

His human nearby,

Shade bountiful behind him,

He’ll lounge in hot sun.

I don’t understand the mind of Dog. You can’t see them in this photo, but there was plenty of shady, leafy trees nearby. As was this dog’s human, who had the good sense to take advantage of said trees. I myself was boiling, having just finished a jog. Yet here this dummy was, in his fur coat, head propped up on the pavement.

That just doesn’t mean seem very sensible to me. But then, I have to work for a living and this dog doesn’t, so there you are.

(Oh look! It’s the 50th Taipei haiku! How should we celebrate?)
