Taipei Haiku #32

Revenge waits like snake

And kills swiftly when it strikes

Fuck you, mosquito

I’m sure you were all waiting with bated breath to find out if the torment of yesterday was dealt with. The answer is ‘yes.’ With extreme prejudice. Then I pondered the futility of revenge and wept. I laughed before its grave.

Now, how do I get what’s essentially my blood off the wall?

  1. I’ve been noticing a growing number of these winged bastards around. The retribution in your haiku pleases me.

      1. I would like this extra if I could! I may well take a leaf out of your book…extra quiz points for dead mosquitos. It might work.
