Taipei Haiku #20

‘Good luck!’ says fat cat

On the side of the crane game.

I’m where luck goes, dies.

Ah, the ubiquitous crane game. I’m honestly not sure how the economy can support the sheer amount of property they take up. (Can’t they use that space for an actual store?) Especially as I don’t often see many or even any people using them. Do they hide when I approach?

Maybe I’m just bitter because I’m objectively terrible at these games, even leaving aside the fact they’re rigged somewhat. (In Korea, at least. There was some controversy.)
