Not a pineapple,
Cactus, creepy spider leg –
Taipei 101
This was taken from Elephant Mountain, while I jostled all the other people for a decent shot. Taipei 101 used to be the tallest building in the world, until Dubai decided they weren’t having any of that nonsense and built a taller one. Sometimes, I use the sun to determine what direction I’m traveling in. Other times, I use Taipei 101.
This haiku is inspired by my friend Sara and her many guesses as to what its design is supposed to represent. (It’s ‘prosperity’. Shhh.)
